Surface preparation by shot blasting.

Shot blasting is the most effective and economic technology that guarantee a fast, dust-free and environmentally acceptable preparation of clean and strong concrete floor surface.

During shot blasting, we can often detect invisible defects of the floor such as hidden blisters, cracks or delamination that may result in more serious defects of the newly made floor during its subsequent use.

Shot blasting is mostly used for:

• cleaning concrete, steel, asphalt, stone, and the like surfaces
• removinglaitance, rust, thincoatings, horizontal signs(from for  examplehalls, warehouses, parking lots, streets, bridges, steel tanks, airports, )
• roughening, improving skid resistance of smooth and slippery floors made of tiles, terracotta, concrete, steel, asphalt and so

We can prepare up to 5 000 sq m per day!  For thick or flexible coatings, oily, greasy or very bumpy surfaces  we recommend milling or grinding.

MILLING (TRADITIONAL)

The method used in the case of strong interference in the concrete structure. The result is a clean, strong and grooved surface having good adhesion for the subsequent layers. Depending on the condition of the surface and the required floor structure we select the appropriate floor milling tools.

Concrete milling is mostly used for:

• cleaning damaged, rough or oilysurfaces
• cleaning,profiling, smoothing and levelling
• removinglayersof concrete orresinfloors, adhesives, residues, paint coatings and fillers, laitance, thermoplastics coatings, etc.
• levelling
• profilingsmooth surfaces

In appropriate cases, after the use of standard milling machines, we suggest additionally planetary milling, shot blasting or possibly grinding.

GRINDING

Grinding is an optimal solution in situations requiring clean, strong and at the same time even and smooth concrete surface. Depending on the condition, type of floor and requirements we use different types of grinders and proper tools.

Grinding technique is mostly used for:

• cleaningandlevelling of surfaces
• removing of laitance, coatings and adhesivesresidues
• repairingand levellingof surfaces
• polishing terrazzo, concrete, granite and marble surfaces

Thanks to the use of high-performance industrial vacuum cleaners 99.95% of grinding dust is effectively filtered!  We also clean places close to walls, columns, ducts and pits that machines cannot reach.

Any successful flooring requires a well-prepared supporting surface, and such surface gives us the certainty that the floor shall fulfil all quality and visual requirements.

Shot blasting with steel balls made of hardened steel is a proven and cost-effective method that will allow you to achieve the perfect quality. An additional advantage of this method is dust-free execution of these works.
